Proud of their city and its neighborhoods, schools, and churches. Flint residents were integral in the growth of the automobile industry and participated in sit down strikes that changed 

the lives of thousands of working class men and women. As a result, we witnessed the explosion of the middle class in 

America. 

As I've heard said hundreds of times, "There was no better place to grow up than Flint, Michigan".
